Household Fix-It Guide

Quick reference for the stuff that breaks around here.

• Network name: check the sticker on the router
• Main router: 10.0.0.1 (gateway)
• DNS servers: 10.0.0.2 (pi4), 10.0.0.4 (mini1), 10.0.0.5 (mini2)
• If WiFi is down: restart the router (unplug 30 seconds, plug back in)
• If internet is down but WiFi works: check if pi4 (10.0.0.2) is up

• The printer is on the network — add it by IP from any device
• If it won't print: restart the printer, then check if it's online in the print queue
• Paper jams: open the front panel, pull gently, don't force it

• The TV remote controls the TV and the soundbar
• If the soundbar is off: press the power button on the soundbar remote first
• Streaming apps are on the TV's smart hub
• If the TV won't turn on: unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in

• Home Assistant: https://ha.tomasetti.online
• Lights, thermostat, plugs all controlled through HA
• If a smart plug is unresponsive: toggle it at the physical button, then check HA

• Anything with water or electricity that you're not sure about
• If a repair would require opening something up
